What the application is
Downsen is a desktop application for macOS and Windows, published at downsen.com. It is a tool for filmmakers and video creators who work with generative AI.
Inside Downsen you build a node graph: prompts feed into image generations, images feed into video shots, and shots assemble into sequences. Because the graph is re-runnable, changing one prompt regenerates everything downstream without redoing the work by hand. Generation itself runs on Downsen's servers through third-party AI model providers, so no AI model runs on your machine.
Every generation costs credits, and Downsen shows the price of each one before you run it, keeps a running balance on screen, and records how many attempts a finished shot took. That cost visibility is the core purpose of the product.
Why Downsen uses Google Sign-In
Downsen uses Google Sign-In solely to authenticate your account, so that your projects and your credit balance can be associated with you and restored when you sign in again. It replaces having to create and remember another password.
We request only these basic profile scopes:

Downsen does not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service, and never sees your Google password. We do not sell your data or use it to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy.

Plans are billed monthly in USD and include a credit allowance for generations. Credits are consumed per generation at the rates in the table below. Unused monthly credits do not roll over.

Additional credits can be purchased at any time from within the app. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.
Questions
What exactly am I paying for?
A monthly subscription to the Downsen desktop application, which includes an allowance of generation credits. Credits are spent when you generate images or video through the app. The app itself is free to download; a paid plan is required to generate.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time, from your account settings or by emailing us. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and is not renewed. See our Refund Policy.
Do unused credits roll over?
No. Monthly allowance credits expire at the end of each billing period. Credits you purchase separately as a top-up do not expire while your account is active.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 13 or later, or Windows 10 version 1809 or later. An internet connection is required, since generation runs on our servers rather than your machine.
Who owns what I create?
You do. We claim no ownership of your prompts, projects, or generated output. See our Terms of Service.
